Santa's Igloos Arctic Circle is a luxurious glass igloo resort in Rovaniemi, next to the Santa Claus village on the Arctic Circle.
Resort is open all year round as well as Santa Claus office. Midnight sun can be enjoyed during summer season from an igloo. Snow activities and a chance to see the Northern Lights - during winter season.
There are 71 stylish glass-roofed igloos. Some igloos have private sauna. Breakfast is served in the on site Restaurant Arctic Eye, located in the middle of the igloo area.

Santa's Igloos Arctic Circle is located on the Arctic Circle, 600 m from Santa Claus Village and 5-minute drive from Rovaniemi Airport.
To get there by plane:
Helsinki - Rovaniemi daily flights. Flight time - 1h20m. Price from 35€ (Norwegian, Finnair).
Resort is located 4 km from Rovaniemi airport. For individual travellers (max 7 persons) complimentary shuttle service from/to Rovaniemi Airport included (valid 2019-2020).
To get there by train:
Helsinki - Rovaniemi daily trains by VR. Duration - 8-12h. Price from 68€ (Finnish railways VR).
Resort is located 9 km from Rovaniemi railway station. Free shuttle service twice a day between Santa's Hotel Santa Claus in Rovaniemi city center and Santa's Igloos Arctic Circle (valid 2019-2020). Also public bus between Rovaniemi city center and resort 5-7 times per day available.

Northern Lights.
It is possible to see the Northern Lights in Lapland from mid-August to the end of April in a dark time.
The Northern Lights are not guaranteed as it is a natural phenomena and it always depends on the current weather.
Each glass igloo is equipped with a tablet through which guest can contact the reception and receive Northern Lights alarms.
Recommended warm winter clothing: thermal under-layer, warm mid-layer, winter jacket, trousers and winter boots. Hat, gloves and scarf are essential.

Activities.
Santa's Igloos resort does not offer any own safari/activities services. But it is located 600m from Santa Claus Village and 8 km from Rovaniemi, where all possible activities available. Winter Zone consists of approx. 600m2 of snow and ice structures including Ice Bar, Ice Restaurant, ice & snow sculptures. With the same entrance ticket the guest can visit all of the above and also take part in the Snow Fun activities featuring big ice slides and ice skating. All necessary equipment for these activities are provided.
Entrance ticket is valid all day. Entrance tickets are not needed to book in advance. Available depending the weather conditions from mid December till end of March. Opening hours: 11am-5pm (except 24.12., 25.12., 1.1. - shorter working hours).
Ice Restaurant is built entirely of snow and ice. It is decorated with snow and ice sculptures.
Ice Restaurant Lunch Experience includes Salmon Soup lunch + dessert. Lunch is available every day from mid December to end of March from 12pm to 3pm.
Ice Restaurant Dinner Experience includes 3 course menu of choice: Wild Lapland menu, Arctic Sea menu and Nordic Nature menu, also separate menu for children. Every day between mid December – 5th Jan. Wed and Sat between 6th Jan – end of March from 6:00PM onward.
There is Arctic Circle snowmobile park 600 m from igloo resort. It offers different activities: 30 minutes long snowmobile ride (price ~55-75€/person); Snowmobile Safari to Husky and Reindeer farms (Approximately 6 hours; price ~170€/person); Northern Light safari by snowmobile (Approximately 3-4 hours; price ~130€/person) and many other.*.
All snowmobile safaris include safari clothing and helmet, snowmobile driving instructions, fuel, insurance (personal liability applies), guide services in Finnish and in English. Please note, the driver of the snowmobile has to have a valid drivers license and minimum 18 years of age.

Santa office open every day, both winter and summer. Entrance and meeting with Santa - free of charge. No advance reservation needed.
Using of own cameras while meeting Santa is prohibited; professional photos and videos available for a fee. Price in 2019 is from 30€ up to 40-45€ for 6 high resolution photos and a video clip you meeting Santa. No obligation to purchase anything however.
There is Santa Claus Reindeer Resort backyard of Santa Claus office. Santa’s reindeer safari track also is located there.
It is possible to start the ride right next to Santa Office (address: Joulumaantie 13, Rovaniemi). No advanced reservation needed. Path from 5 to 35 min (400m - 3km). Suitable for all ages.
Available: December - April. Price from 14€/child - 18€/adult (~5 minutes ride).

Arctic Circle Husky Park is located next to Santa Claus village (left side), 500 m from Santas igloo resort. Open every day year round. Guided tour daily at 12.00 (duration about 0,5 h).
Husky park entrance fee: 10€/adult, 5€/child (4-12 years), family ticket 20€ (1-2 adults + 1-3 children)*. * Prices are valid for winter season 2019.
The short rides and safaris (500 m and 2 km) do not need any prior reservation. They are run non-stop during opening hours. Other safaris should be booked in advance.
Husky rides prices are from 30-45€/adult, 15-25€/child (short safaris up to 2 km) + Husky Park entrance fee.
A huge Snow castle right in Santa Claus Village with residents of the Moominvalley. There are Moomin ice sculptures gallery - Moominmamma, Moominpappa and their friends - as five-meter snow and ice sculptures. 50-meter long slide, snow labyrinth, Moominvalley magic forest, fun zone with interactive wall, ice bar and souvenir shop.
Open every day from 9 to 19 throughout the winter season.
Price for 2019: 30€/adult; 18€/children (4–11 years old, 0-3 years old free of charge). All tickets are valid for one day.
Visiting SantaPark is a must-do activity for families with kids! This is an indoor Christmas theme park voted the top Christmas destination in the world. Plan a visit for at least 2-3 hours (usually kids want to stay there for a longer time).
There are Arctic Circle, Ice gallery and Ice bar, Angry birds activity park, gingerbread bakery, Elf workshop, Santa Claus office with real Santa, Magic train, Post office and Elf Show performances.

Luxury and authentic Santa experience. Santa Claus Secret Forest is an exclusive destination where you can experience the magic of Christmas either privately or in small groups.
There are few weekly programs available: Dream of Joulukka, Gingerbread secret of Santa Claus, Search for the Northern Lights with Santa Claus. Prices are from 129-179€/adult; 103-139€/child (2-12 years old); free for children under 2 years old (* prices valid for winter 2019). Also exclusive private programs and meeting with Santa available.
Located 20km from Rovaniemi city center. Open by request all-year-round.
Santa Claus Secret Forest is a private destination located on private grounds, and is therefore only accessible if you have made a booking in advance.
In case you come to Lapland from other side of the Earth to see the Northern Lights but clouds are blocking the sky - there is 1 solution. Check Northern Lights flights offered by Wild Nordic Finland (www.northernlightsflight.com).

The Lapland Military Band’s warm-hearted Christmas concert, beloved and popular indeed, will bring us the Christmas spirit this year, too. Soprano Anna-Maria Jurvelin will perform as a visiting soloist. Along with the soloist, the audience will also get to join in accompanied by the professional orchestra.
Each year, Santa leaves Santa Claus Village in Rovaniemi, Lapland, Finland to bring Christmas cheer to people all around the globe. Santa Claus gives his speech wishing merry Christmas to the whole world before hopping in his reindeer-pulled sleigh and embarking on his tour. This year, the event will be organized with no audience due to latest corona restrictions. The event will be broadcasted on Facebook by Visit Rovaniemi on December 23rd at 7 PM local time (UTC +2).

The 57th Arctic Lapland Rally in 2022 will be competed on Friday and Saturday the 14-15th of January. The competitors start their arctic adventure on the over 220 kilometres of special stages already on Monday the 10th of January when the reconnaissance period begins. The rally route sees changes for 2022 as over 23% and over 50 special stage kilometres are new to all the drivers. For spectators the biggest change is the new special stage right in the heart of Rovaniemi at the Ounasvaara ski center. Naturally the route also includes beloved stages, such as the familiar final stage of Ristilampi at the remote Finnish Defence Forces training grounds. The brave rivals face endless snowy roads and ice cold temperatures at the mercy of the Lappish wilderness!
Rovaniemi is the hometown of Santa Claus in Lapland and is famous for its reindeer. Every year, at the end of winter, several reindeer races happen in the Rovaniemi area.
